Guaranteed Cost Control Design of T-s Fuzzy Systems

This paper is concerned with the problem of guaranteed cost controller design control for discrete-time Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems, and new design methods are presented. By defining a fuzzy Lyapunov function, a new sufficient condition guaranteeing the performance of the T-S fuzzy systems is derived, which can be transferred into problem of minimizing the trace of a matrix. By introducing, our result is formulated in terms of a set of LMIs and the condition is expressed by a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally the feasibility of the proposed approach is shown through a numerical example.
